Denise Daniels is a Peabody award winning broadcaster and parenting contributor for NBC's Today show. With a background in child development and pediatric nursing, Denise has assisted children and families deal with catastrophic events such as the Oklahoma City bombing, Columbine, September 11th, the aftermath of the tsunami, hurricane Katrina, and the war in Iraq. In her role as founder of the National Childhood Grief Institute, Denise has been asked to testify before the U.S. Congress and Senate, as well as for the UN, regarding issues impacting the health and wellness of children. She has also been an advisor to First Lady Laura Bush and Senator Hillary Clinton. Her "First Aid for Feelings" health care program for children, was launched by Pfizer Pediatrics, in over 211 pediatric units, as well as in
New York's Memorial Sloan Kettering Hospital. Along with her educational advisors from Yale University, Denise and her production team, have recently completed the production of a health and wellness television series for children called, "The Moodsters." In addition, Denise is currently authoring a book series for Scholastic, based on "The Moodsters" television program.
